Dump Points are sites especially designed for Recreational Vehicles (RVs) to dispose of their waste, including Grey and Black Water, and Sewerage in an environmentally safe way.
Some Dump Points will have a hose provided for the rinsing of your holding tanks. Be mindful that these hoses may have been used to clean waste, and in no circumstances should be used to fill your drinking water tanks.
Some Dump Points also use recycled water, not intended for drinking. If drinking water is available at these sites, it should be clearly marked. If it is not marked as such, avoid using it as potable water.
HOW TO GET THERE
The Bourke town dump pint is located at the entrance to the old railway Station in Anson Street which is an extension of the Mitchell Highway if approaching from the South East. At the junction of the Mitchell Highway and Kid-man Way turn West into Anson Street and the Station driveway is on the left.
SITE ACCESS
As the station is not in use for any regular activities the driveway is usually empty but please make sure before entering that there is enough room to turn around.
There is another Dump Point at the new Visitor Centre on the Northern side of town.
