Woodside Beach Caravan Park is situated on 20 acres and nestled in the dunes of Gippsland’s magnificent Ninety Mile Beach. Running for a kilometre behind the sand dunes, the family-owned and run park is surrounded by murmuring waves and coastal landscapes and is the ideal spot for a relaxing seaside family getaway or fishing trip.

Woodside offers travellers powered and unpowered camping and caravan sites, as well as 5 onsite self, contained cabins if you’re looking for a night out of the van or to catch up with family and friends who aren’t the avid camper. The campsites are pet-friendly with many under the shady trees running right beside Beach. The amenities are clean and well maintained with the full list of facilities below. The park is run on bore water and there is fresh drinking water available from a rainwater tank so its best to bring your own container but just in case, bring some freshwater along with you.

Only a short stroll from the park is direct access to the beach. Enjoy surf fishing for Salmon, Gummy shark and Flathead with bait and fishing tackle available from the parks onsite kiosk, go swimming or simply walking along the pristine golden sands that stretch as far as the eye can see.

Across the road from the park is a children’s playground and an undercover BBQ area which park guests are free to use and in summer through to Easter you can swim safely with the Woodside Beach SLSC patrolling the beach.

For any basic needs or a meal of fish and chips, the local servo is only 10 km from the park. The town of Yarrum is a short 15 min drive from the park and well serviced for any essentials you may need. There is a Woolworths along with pubs and clubs if you want to go out for a meal or two.

HOW TO GET THERE
Turn off the A440 (Yarram to Stradbroke Road) onto the C543, Woodside Beach Road at Woodside. Continue for 9.9km then turn right into the Park at the beginning of a long right-hand curve.

SITE ACCESS
The entrance is directly off Woodside Beach Road and is sealed and level. Wide enough to allow large RV’s and caravans, but be careful there are a few trees on the left of the entry and a traffic island. Pull over in front of the kiosk/reception to let them know you have arrived and check in to receive boom-gate pass.

THINGS TO DO
Enjoy beachcombing, bushwalking, boating or fishing, it’s all there at beautiful Woodside Beach, or if you’re a bird watcher, watch the skies for a glimpse of the rare sea eagle or a pair of local wedge-tailed eagles who have made their residence in the coastal scrub.

Surrounded by farm and bushland, all around Woodside Beach is one thing “Wildlife”. From kangaroos and koalas to water birds and a growing population of black cockatoos. Go for a short walk and spot the echidnas digging their little holes, or drive to beautiful local landscapes to spot some rare and unusual animals.

Bring your bicycle, motorbike or horse and take advantage of the many tracks set out in Jack Smith, Mullundung or the But But woodland scrub.

Just round the corner from Woodside Beach is the local boat ramp at McLoughlins Beach if you’re looking to take the boat out for a spin or to do a bit of deep-sea fishing.

Further afield the Tara Bulga National Park (45min), Hiawatha Waterfalls, Agnes Water Falls (15Min) and townships of Yarram and Historic Port Albert to explore.

If you are lucky you may spot whales and dolphins as they migrate up and down the coast, best between June and December, and they have even had a seal or two come to rest on the shore.
