THINGS TO DO
There’s a lot to do for the whole family at Penrose Park. There are tennis courts, children’s playgrounds, wood and gas barbecues, walking trails, and even a bush golf course.
The Park is a safe haven for animals. Many call Penrose home and all have been donated. Horses, goats, sheep, peacocks, and a wide variety of birds dot the landscape. One popular resident is a white-crested corella, who always has the time for a chat.
Wild kangaroos and their joeys visit the city year-round.
The Silverton Picnic Train, which was in regular service up until the 1960s, is also on display.

Penrose is a place where you can get away from having someone right on top of you. Nothing flash about this place.Bush camping with a couple of facilities and easy walk into town. You can have fires. We preferred to stay here rather than in Broken Hill. Would stay there again.
