Situated within Thangoo Station, one of the few beef cattle stations in the Kimberley that is still family-owned and operated, Barn Hill Beach Side Station Stay is the gateway to more than 50 km of pristine untouched rugged coastline lined by the heavenly blue Indian ocean open from April to November.

The park has powered sites in shaded and lawned grounds 80 metres from the beach, with the capacity to fit large vans and trailered boats with 24-hour power available. Unpowered sites have breathtaking views of the ocean which can accommodate the more self-sufficient traveller. Fresh potable water is provided on each of these sites and they are within walking distance from the shop and ablution block.

HOW TO GET THERE
From the North: Follow Highway 1 South from the Broome Road junction (Roebuck Plains Roadhouse) for 94.5km and turn right and drive 9.7km to the campground.

From the South: Follow Highway 1 for 471km after passing Port Hedland Airport and turn left, proceed as above to campground

FEES & BOOKINGS
Booking by sending an email is recommended for June, July, and August as these are busy months.

Fee is from $30/ night per couple for unpowered sites, extra person is $15, and $38/ night per couple for powered sites, extra person is $19/ night. Extra children is $8.

THINGS TO DO
After a full day of activities or even just relaxing, the park has several weekly social events to keep visitors busy. A lawn bowling green with regular tournaments, Wednesday night communal BBQs, and a roast night on Sundays with local entertainment.

There are a variety of beach activities to be enjoyed by all ages:
excellent beach and dinghy fishing, snorkelling, swimming, cave exploring, cliff walking, bushwalking, and climbing our namesake landmark Barn Hill
