Gum Bend Lake Campground is a free site located three kilometres from Condobolin with beautiful surroundings. The large area on the east side of the lake is perfect for motorhomes and caravans. The site has excellent facilities for all visitors.

HOW TO GET THERE
Condobolin is 110km West of Parkes on Henry Parkes Way. From Condobolin travel to the northern outskirts of town and turn left onto Kiacatoo Road; after 4.4km cross the railway line and turn left into the lake access road.

SITE ACCESS
Follow the track around to the Eastern side of the lake where you will find the amenities and camping area.

There is no charge for the use of this facility, so if you are staying at this site we encourage you to help keep it clean, and please visit and support the local community.

THINGS TO DO
The area is ideal for water skiing and also proves popular with bird watchers and fishing on the nearby Lachlan river.

While taking a break at Gum Bend Lake, be sure to stretch your legs on the 6km walking track from Gum Bend Lake into Condobolin to the end of Bathurst Street and back to the Lake again. Its peaceful surroundings make it a perfect place to relax and enjoy spending time with family and friends.

The Wiradjuri Study Centre is located on the corner of Cunningham Street and McDonnell Street and was constructed with the express purpose of promoting the study and understanding of Wiradjuri culture.

The Lachlander Museum at 46 Bathurst Street Condobolin was printing their newspaper on one of the last operational hot metal printing presses in Australia up until January 2004.

The Condobolin Railway Museum at Madeline Street Condobolin, is a must-see for train buffs. It houses a diverse collection of old trikes, trailers, and railway items as well as other pieces including old motors and horse-drawn machinery donated by local people.

Enjoy the view of Condobolin at Reservoir Hill Lookout at the eastern end of Brady Street or visit Mt Tilga, eight kilometres north of Condobolin on the Cobar road where you can park your vehicle and stretch your legs to see great views.

The Condobolin Community Centre on the corner of Denison and Bathurst Street displays photos and other documents depicting the history and heritage of the area. Upstairs a room has been furnished as a bedroom of bygone years, while downstairs offers tourist information, local arts and crafts, and art completed by the local china painting group which is all available to purchase.
