The Aloes is one of several Picnic Areas in The Pilliga Forests which are available for camping. The access roads are all gravel and can deteriorate rapidly in wet weather. Please be aware that logging trucks also use these roads.
HOW TO GET THERE
From the Newell Highway turn off onto Sparrow Road 34.7km South of Narrabri then after 12.8km turn left onto Pilliga Forest Way. After a further 43.2km the Picnic Area is on the left at the junction.

The Pilliga Forests are a bird watcher’s dream with over 200 species recorded in this general area; ther is also plenty of walking in most areas with roads and trails throughout the Pilliga.
