Richmond RV Stop is a large gravel area maintained by the Council and free for all types of RV, please register at the Visitor Centre. You do not have to be self contained but you must catch your grey water and use it to water the young trees planted around the area.
HOW TO GET THERE
Richmond is on the Flinders Highway 116km West of Hughenden or 149km East of Julia Creek. The RV stop is in Hillier Street, between Harris and Clayton Streets. First register at the Visitor Centre (Kronosaurus Corner) in Larsen Street (North East corner of Flinders Highway junction).
SITE ACCESS
From the visitor centre proceed to the end of Larsen Street, turn left, then take next right then left into Hillier Street, the site is on the right.
FEES & BOOKINGS
Council has introduced $10 flat fee for 1 to 3 nights.
FACILITIES
There is water and a dump point here.
THINGS TO DO
The Visitor Centre has all the information on the area attractions and Richmond is part of Queensland’s “Dinosaur Triangle”.
RULES.There is a 72 hour limit at this site.
