Spacious peaceful campground
Goombungee Showground offers peaceful and spacious pet-friendly campground with basic facilities. The powered and unpowered sites are accessible to caravans, motorhomes, camper trailers, and big rigs. Tents and swag’s allowed, but 2 day maximum at any one time.
HOW TO GET THERE
Goombungee is on the Darling Downs 40km North West of Toowoomba; it is located at the junction of the Pechey-Maclagan Road and the Kingsthorpe-Hayden Road. From the main street (Kingsthorpe-Hayden Road) turn into Edward Street (Assemblies of God Church on the corner) and the Showground entrance is straight ahead at the end.
SITE ACCESS
The caretaker’s telephone number is displayed at the gate and you may find that water and power are turned off until the caretaker arrives if there are no other campers.

$28 p/n powered, 1 or 2 persons
$15 p/n unpowered, 1 or 2 persons
$5 ea extra person over 4yrs.
FACILITIES
Water, hot/cold showers, toilets, laundry area, picnic table, and trash bins.
Sorry NO dump point, nearest is Oakey, free. Toowoomba Showgrounds $5, non campers. Crows Nest Caravan Park,$5 non campers.
It does pay to phone as sometimes Caravan Clubs, or other activities may limit availability.
Please note: Travelling from Brisbane or from Dalby, on the Warrego Highway take the Kingsthorpe- Haden Rd exit. Don’t follow the GPS guidance unless you wish to see the countryside.
Grounds are closed to camping from 4th January to 19th January 2024, for the annual Rodeo and Site Managers break
