Collarenebri Primitive Campground (FC)

This Free Campground is situated just across the Barwon River from the small inland town of Collarenebri on the Gwydir Highway. There are 8 level shady sites that will suit any type of rig or camper and the Walgett Shire provides a bbq, powered amenities block with showers and toilets and a dump point.

In town you will find all the usual facilities including medical, Post Office, pub, groceries and the like, so don’t forget to support the local businesses while you are here.

The Barwon River is reputed to provide the best fishing of any of the inland rivers in the area, and of course the birdlife is abundant.

Please ensure you leave your site and the area clean and tidy.

HOW TO GET THERE
The campground is around 500m east of Collarenebri on the Gwydir Highway, just over Rocky Ford Bridge.

Directly off the highway on the northern side.

There is no charge for the use of this facility, so if you are staying at this site we encourage you to help keep it clean, and please visit and support the town.
