Midskinrick Lodge and Camping is situated on 40 acres of selectively cleared land on the southern bank of Baffle Creek, a picturesque unspoilt river system, 70km North of Bundaberg in Qld.

This is a great family fishing destination, as Baffle Creek is the longest saltwater estuary in southern Queensland, with 35km of saltwater and another 100 km or so of fresh. Renowned as the ”Home of the Mangrove Jack” the river also has most coastal fish species, mud crabs, and prawns in season. It is also known as a great spot for kayaking.

Midskinrick comprises of two camping areas, one on the Riverbank which is on roughly ten acres of mown grass. These campsites are huge, with plenty of level and shaded spots. There is a small amenity block that has bush kitchen, drinking water, septic toilet, solar bag shower room [please bring your own shower bag] fireboxes and plenty of room. Owners Doug and Di only allow 11 groups at a time, so there are no worries about cramping your style. These sites are unpowered, however, inverter Generators are permitted.

The second area nestles around the spring-fed swimming dam. These 8 sites are large, with 4 being powered and 4 unpowered sites with a camp kitchen, septic toilets and hot shower.

For those of you that may want a few nights with all the creature comforts The Lodge itself is a modern, spacious unit that caters for families and groups up to 11. This spacious, fully self-contained unit has three bedrooms – two queen rooms and one with bunks, a double sofa bed in the media room and another queen in the second lounge. A large kitchen, two separate lounge areas, a huge home theatre, two bathrooms and laundry make this fully air-conditioned residence the place to relax and refresh. A fireplace, barbeque and small sandpit are features of the enclosed child and pet-friendly garden.

Fantastic spot. Great fishing, all amenities and camp kitchens, fresh drinking water and a first class air-conditioning lodge with a nice modern touch, quiet location is a great getaway for small or large groups. Easy access to boat ramp and pet friendly. Top place that I highly recommend for all types of camping set ups. Extremely welcoming owners and very helpful. If ya love peace and quiet and great fishing you can bring your pet along and have a very pleasant stay. Cheers Doug and Di for being terrific hosts.
