Looking for a peaceful camp along Yabba Creek?
Imbil Camping Retreat offers over 12 acres of shaded parklands ranging from secluded areas to open spaces for larger groups. Situated along the beautiful Yabba Creek, the site offers a wide range of water activities. The peaceful area is suitable for camping with powered and unpowered sites to choose from.
The pet-friendly site is accessible to motorhomes, caravans, and camper trailers with areas suitable for tents.
The sheltered camp kitchen has picnic tables and free gas barbeques that make a great central meeting place. Fireplaces are situated around the park for your own use, all other fires are to be in designated areas. Firewood is available from the office or you are most welcome to bring your own.
HOW TO GET THERE
From South
Head North on Bruce Highway, Once you Pass Pomona/Cooroy look out for the turnoff for Mary Valley Tourist Drive – Route 42. After 13.6km take the left onto Kenilworth Skyring Creek Rd towards Imbil. After 5.1km take the right onto Tuchekoi Rd. After a further 5.6km take the left onto State Route 51 towards Imbil. After 4.5km take the right turn on Yabba Creek Rd to Imbil. After 2km, as you enter Imbil you will see our sign on your right-hand side.
From North
Travel South through Gympie. After passing McDonalds, travel another 600m Take Overpass to Kandanga (Mary Valley Tourist Route 42) Travel 24km and take right at the signpost for Imbil Cross bridge entering Imbil, take left at T intersection. We’re 100m on the left.
SITE ACCESS
As you enter Imbil, you will see the signpost. You’ll see a curved pathway leading you to the camping resort.

Note: Premium waterfront sites are unpowered and are along Yabba Creek with water views. Off-peak weekend stays are a minimum of 2 nights. Peak period stays are a minimum of 3 nights.

THINGS TO DO
Imbil Camping Retreat is just a short 600-metre stroll to town that offers a hotel, bowls club, two café’s, post office, butchers, and a grocery store. Borumba Dam is 13km away. Imbil Skate Park is 100m up the road. Rail Trail provides the most amazing walk or rides through our beautiful State Forest. Ride on Mary offers kayak and bike hire, including bush adventures through the Mary Valley. Imbil Sunday Markets are locally run and feature products ranging from plants, seedlings, fruits, and vegies. Historic Mary Valley Rattler steam train operates every Saturday and Sunday. Fig Tree Walk is a relaxing 1.1km stroll through the riverine rainforest close to the junction of Little Yabba Creek and Mary River. Four-wheel driving and trail riding by bike or horse can be experienced just a short distance away. Others prefer to go swimming, canoeing, fishing, and observing the abundance of wildlife, including platypus. Canoes and kayaks are available for hire from the office.
