Mount Morgan Motel and Van Park (CP)

Mount Morgan Motel and Van Park is on a picturesque 2.5 acres park suitable for caravans and camping. The park has onsite vans, cabins, powered and unpowered sites with large shady camping areas and amenities block. You may also want to check some of their motel units with undercover parking to the door.

HOW TO GET THERE
The site is just a short drive (40km) from Rockhampton. Take the turnoff from Bruce highway (National Highway A1) onto Burnett Highway/A3 South of Rockhampton. From inland follow the A3 as it turns East at Dululu.

SITE ACCESS
Along Burnett Highway, at the Western side of town, you’ll see their sign post but the entrance to the park is through the Showgrounds road where another sign post is placed on its corner.

THINGS TO DO
You may visit the Mount Morgan open cut gold and copper mines and enjoy the panoramic view of the township and mines from the Arthur Timms Lookout.
There is also a ail Museum combined with the visitor centre, and a Historical Museum with one of the best sets of records in the state.
Going downstream, the Dee River brags a suspension bridge built in the 1890s to provide access from the town to the mine and was one of six swinging bridges at that time in Mount Morgan, however, only one bridge is left today to remind visitors of the colonial days.
