Biddlecombe Cascades Campground is one of the campsites along the Jatbula Trail inside Nitmiluk National Park. It can only be accessed by foot. The tumbling waters of Biddlecombe Cascades reward
walkers with soothing pools to sit in and cool off.
The National Park is owned by the Jawoyn Aboriginal people and some of its amazing features include spectacular dissected sandstone country, broad valleys and numerous, significant cultural sites. The deep gorge carved through ancient sandstone by the Katherine River is the central attraction of the Park.
SITE ACCESS
The site is 11.5 km from the Nitmiluk Centre.

Please note: GPS Co-Ordinates are approximate and provided in most cases to get you to the National Park entrance. Once inside the park there should be signs to the actual camp grounds. Failing this please check with National Parks for further directions.

THINGS TO DO
Your adventure on the 62 km Jatbula Trail will be highlighted by stunning scenery, waterfalls and Jawoyn rock art. The Jatbula Trail is a unique cultural and wilderness experience.
RULES
All walkers must obtain a permit at the Nitmiluk Visitor Centre -Parks Information Desk before starting (between 8am and 1pm).
Because the trail is one-way, you need to make arrangements for transport to the start of the walk at the Gorge; and from Leliyn back to the Gorge.
Organise your ferry ride – the walk starts on the eastern side of 17 Mile Creek. A ferry ride across the Katherine River needs to be booked with Nitmiluk Tours and costs $7.00 per person.
Carry three litres of water per person between refill sites.
The Trail is marked by blue triangles, usually located every 20-50 metres. Intersections are marked by sign posts.
Take your rubbish away with you.
Only fuel stoves are permitted.
Bury all toilet waste at least 30 cm deep and well away from waterways.
Respect Jawoyn people. Do not touch or vandalise rock art.
Do not deface rocks or trees.
