Munbililla Campground is one of the five camping areas within the Limmen National Park. The recently upgraded Munbililla Campground includes 50-55 non-powered informal grassed sites suitable for caravans and tent camping. The Park offers a wonderful remote experience featuring spectacular sandstone formations, numerous river systems and associated wetlands, it is also steeped in culture and history.
SITE ACCESS
Munbililla (Tomato Island) is located 5.5 km upstream of the township of Ngukurr.
Limmen National Park is located in the Gulf of Carpentaria in Australia’s Northern Territory and is approximately 305 km southeast of Katherine and 76 km northwest of Borroloola.
The Park can be accessed from Katherine by leaving the Stuart Highway about 10 km south of Mataranka and following the Roper Highway east to the Pt Roper Road, (turn-off 3 km before Roper Bar). From Borroloola follow the Carpentaria Highway for 32 km before heading north along the gravel road for another 44 km.
Please note: GPS Coordinates are approximate and provided in most cases to get you to the National Park entrance. Once inside the park there should be signs to the actual camp grounds. Failing this please check with National Parks for further directions.

Camping fees
$12/single per night and $20/couple per night
FACILITIES
Taps, gas and wood barbeques, hot showers, flushing toilets and rubbish bins. Boatramp and fish cleaning facilities are also available.
THINGS TO DO
Limmen National Park is enjoyed by recreational angles, remote campers, and those with an interest in wildlife watching, photography and short walks around the intriguing sandstone pillars of the Southern and Western Lost Citys.
RULES
Do not swim in any of the rivers or creeks in the Park – the natural pool at Butterfly Falls is the only place in the Park considered safe for swimming.
Put your rubbish in the bin or take it away with you.
Pets are not permitted in the Park.
The use of chainsaws is not permitted within the Park.
Quad and trail bikes are not permitted off-road within the Park.
