Accessible by 2WD, the well-protected and shady campsites are on offer with great views of the Coorong, half an hour south of Meningie. Suitable for swags, tents, camper trailers or caravans.
Stretching more than 130 kilometres, Coorong National Park protects a string of saltwater lagoons which are sheltered from the Southern Ocean by the sweeping sand dunes of the Younghusband Peninsula.
SITE ACCESS
The Coorong National Park is located south east of Adelaide. The southern part of the park is accessible via Goolwa, Meningie and Salt Creek off Highway 1. If you are arriving from the south, enter the park via Kingston.
Please note: GPS Co-Ordinates are approximate and provided in most cases to get you to the National Park entrance. Once inside the park there should be signs to the actual camp grounds. Failing this please check with National Parks for further directions.
FEES
From $13 per 2 Adults.
Bookings are required and available on line via the booking link.
Cash self-registration stations are no longer in use in this park.
There is a 5 day limit at this campground.
Your campsite is available to you from 12noon on the day of your arrival until 11am the day of departure.

THINGS TO DO
Parnka Point or ‘Hells Gate’ is the narrowest point between the northern and southern Coorong lagoon. It is noted for excellent views up and down the lagoon, and wading birds are commonly seen fossicking in the shallow and sheltered bays nearby.

The collection of firewood (either dead or alive) is prohibited.
Take rubbish home with you – if you carry it in, carry it out.
