Mulgrave River top causeway bush camping area is beside the Mulgrave River, half way along the Goldfield trail. Camp about about halfway along the Goldfield trail at the Mulgrave River top causeway. The camping area is at the end of the old logging road, alongside the Mulgrave River. The camping area can be reached on foot from either end of the trail or by mountain bike from the north-west end (Goldsborough Valley camping area).
Number of sites: open area without separately defined sites.
Camp sites are suitable for: walk-in camping, bike-in camping.

SITE ACCESS
The camp site is at the causeway at the end of the old logging road, 8 km from the north-west end (Goldsborough Valley camping area), or 11 km from the south-east end (The Boulders Scenic Reserve).
The Goldfield trail links The Boulders Scenic Reserve, 7 km from Babinda, and Goldsborough Valley day-use and camping areas, 46 km south of Cairns.

Please note: GPS Coordinates are approximate and provided in most cases to get you to the entrance. Once inside the park there should be signs to the actual camp grounds. Failing this please check with National Parks for further directions.

FEES & BOOKINGS
Camping permits are required and fees apply. A camping tag with your booking number must be displayed at your campsite. A camping permit must be obtained in advance
Fees for camping permits are:
$6.55 per person per night or $26.20 per family group per night.
$3.60 per person per night for students and accompanying adults on approved excursions.
FAMILY RATE. For camping fees, a family group is defined as one or two adults and accompanying children under 18, up to a total of 8 people. Children under 5 years of age are free.

Camp in designated areas to avoid damage to fragile vegetation.
