SITE ACCESS
Bona Bay is on the south-west side of Gloucester Island, approximately 20 km east of Bowen.
Gloucester Islands National Park is more remote than some of the other parks in the Whitsundays, lying directly north of Cape Gloucester. Access is by private or commercial boat from Airlie Beach or Dingo Beach. Some commercial transfer companies drop off and collect campers.
If travelling by private vessel getting to the park can present navigational challenges. Always take the weather and tidal influences into account when boating in the Whitsundays.
Please note: GPS Coordinates are approximate and provided in most cases to get you to the entrance. Once inside the park there should be signs to the actual camp grounds. Failing this please check with National Parks for further directions.
