South Kobble bush camp remote bush camping in open forest beside Kobble Creek. The bush camping site’s only access is by walking along unmarked trails through steep terrain. You will need to be physically fit, have bushwalking and navigation skills, and have an emergency plan in place with a responsible friend or family member.
Number of sites: open area without separately-defined sites. A maximum of 9 people (3 x 3-person tents) can camp in this area at one time.
Camp sites are suitable for: walk-in camping only.
Camp site surface: dirt and grass.
SITE ACCESS
From Mount Glorious Road, this bush camping site is accessed via the Lepidozamia track. The Lepidozamia track entrance is about a 50-minute drive from Walkabout Creek in The Gap.
South D’Aguilar section
South D’Aguilar section is easily accessible from Brisbane. The park’s picnic areas, walking tracks and lookouts are between 15 and 95-minute drive from the city centre. Access is via Mount Nebo Road (tourist route number 8) from The Gap, or via Samford along Samford and Mount Glorious roads (tourist route number 9).
Mount Mee section
Mount Mee section encompasses the northern section of the park and extends to Woodford. This section of the park is about 90-minutes drive north-west of Brisbane. From the south, travel through Samford and Dayboro then follow Mount Mee Road (tourist route number 29) and Sellin Road into the park. From the north, turn left off the D’Aguilar Highway at Neurum Road (just north of Woodford) and follow it as far as Stanton Road. Turn left onto Stanton Road, then take the first right to stay on Stanton Road before turning right onto Rasmussen Road. Continue on Rasmussen Road for about 5 km to the northern entrance of the park. A four-wheel-drive vehicle is recommended to access the park beyond The Gantry day-use area.
Please note: GPS Coordinates are approximate and provided in most cases to get you to the entrance. Once inside the park there should be signs to the actual camp grounds. Failing this please check with National Parks for further directions.
FEES & BOOKINGS
Camping permits are required and fees apply. A camping tag with your booking number must be displayed at your campsite.
Fees for camping permits are:
$6.55 per person per night or $26.20 per family group per night.
$3.60 per person per night for students and accompanying adults on approved excursions.
FAMILY RATE. For camping fees, a family group is defined as one or two adults and accompanying children under 18, up to a total of 8 people. Children under 5 years of age are free.

Camp in designated areas to avoid damage to fragile vegetation.
