Eagle Waterhole (Walk-In) Campground – Deep Creek Conservation Park (CG)

Eagle Waterhole is a remote, sheltered site for hikers only. Located on the Heysen Trail, the site includes a hut shelter. There is no vehicle access to the campground. There are undefined Sites available at this location. There are no facilities at this campground, hence it is important that you are self-sufficient and carry adequate supplies of fuel, food and water.

HOW TO GET THERE
Deep Creek Conservation Park is located 108km south of Adelaide. Access is via Main South Road from Adelaide or Range Road from Victor Harbor. Access is suitable for 2WD Vehicles.

Please note: GPS Co-Ordinates are approximate and provided in most cases to get you to the National Park entrance. Once inside the park there should be signs to the actual camp grounds. Failing this please check with National Parks for further directions.

FEES & BOOKINGS
$8 per person.
Booking in advance is advisable. Peak periods occur during school holiday periods and long weekends.
Entry fees are required to enter this Park.

Many National Parks in South Australia require a Park Pass to enter. The prices for the Park Parks may vary. Read more about FEES & PARK PASSES.

THINGS TO DO
The park is the largest remaining block of wildlife habitat on the Fleurieu Peninsula and is home to an array of native wildlife. Look out for western grey kangaroos, short-beaked echidnas or some of the 100 bird species that can easily be heard or spotted when walking in the park. The walking trails also provide spectacular scenery of the Backstairs Passage, Kangaroo Island and the rugged Deep Creek valley.

RULES
Wood fires are prohibited at all times.
Take rubbish home with you – if you carry it in, carry it out.
