Several camping grounds are located at Recherche Bay Nature Recreation Area before the Cockle Creek Bridge. Most of them are located opposite the beach. The road to Cockle Creek is often rough in places. Caravan access is possible with care.
SITE ACCESS
About a two-hour drive south of Hobart. It is reached via the Huon Highway. Follow Cockle Creek Road to the campgrounds.
Please note: GPS Co-Ordinates are approximate and provided in most cases to get you as close to the campsite as possible, or to the National Park entrance. Once inside the park, there should be signs to the actual campgrounds. Failing this please check with National Parks for further directions.
FEES & BOOKINGS
National Park entry fees and conditions apply to this site.
National park passes are available at Hobart, Huonville Parks Office (22 Main St, Huonville), Forest and Heritage Centre, Geeveston or Hastings Caves Visitor Centre or 24 hour passes are available from the self-registration booth at Cockle Creek.

FACILITIES
Pit toilets, no water or firewood. Access to tank water (not treated) from the park is permitted. It is recommended to take your own drinking water.

RULES
Dogs, generators, and fires are not permitted inside the national park section of Cockle Creek.
