The Armidale Showground, situated halfway between Sydney and Brisbane, is the perfect stopover to base yourself while visiting NSW’s extraordinary high country. The convenient, friendly and secure camping area, is nestled only a few minutes away from Armidales city centre and within easy reach of shops, restaurants and entertainment opportunities.
The showground camping area is pet-friendly and offers travellers spacious, grassy powered and unpowered sites that are suitable for caravans, campers and tents. There is easy access to all amenities such as toilets, hot showers and washing machines. If you are travelling with horses and need a break, the showground have stables and yards available for overnight hire
Being a Showground, it would be best to call ahead to get more updates as the site is often used for major events throughout the year. The Armidale Show is held annually in February each year and campers can also look forward to regular club events through to Monster Truck Shows and Dressage.
HOW TO GET THERE
From the north, turn left off the New England Highway at the roundabout onto Glen Innes Road. Travel 1.1klms and turn right at the traffic lights onto Marsh Street. After 1.1km, turn left into Dumaresq Street.
From the south, turn right off the New England Highway at the roundabout onto Waterfall Way. Follow Waterfall Way towards Dorrigo and Coffs Harbour for 5klms, then turn left onto Marsh Street towards Glen Innes. After 1klm, just past the Information Centre at the roundabout turn onto Dumaresq Street. Continue for 1.1km and you will see the entrance to the showground approximately 100 metres on the left.
From Dorrigo (Waterfall Way) drive towards town and turn right at the roundabout (racecourse on corner) into Canambe Street, take the first left into Dumaresq and the entrance is on the right.

Report to the caretaker on the right-hand side of the driveway as you enter.
