Shady campsite right on the beach

Smalleys Beach camping area offers shaded under eucalyptus trees, this north-facing camping area has large campsites and easy access to the beach and walking tracks. Stay overnight to see the diverse habitats of Cape Hillsborough National Park.
Lowland rainforest, vine, and open eucalypt forest shelter abundant wildlife.
Number of sites: 11 numbered sites.
Campsites are suitable for: caravans, camper trailers, and tent camping beside your vehicle.
Camp site surface: dirt and grass.

SITE ACCESS
Access is via a gravel road approximately 4 km before the main park entrance on Cape Hillsborough Road.

Please note: GPS Coordinates are approximate and provided in most cases to get you to the entrance. Once inside the park, there should be signs to the actual campgrounds. Failing this please check with National Parks for further directions.

FEES & BOOKINGS
Camping permits are required before arriving at the site and fees apply. A camping tag with your booking number must be displayed at your campsite.
Fees for camping permits are:
$6.85per person per night or $27.40 per family group per night.
Family includes max 6 children.
FAMILY RATE. For camping fees, a family group is defined as one or two adults and accompanying children under 18, up to a total of 8 people. Children under 5 years of age are free. Read more about CAMPING COSTS & BOOKINGS

FACILITIES
Picnic tables, flushing toilets, and drinking water.

RULES
Keep to defined vehicle tracks and walking trails.
Camp in designated areas to avoid damage to fragile vegetation.
Take rubbish home with you – if you carry it in, carry it out.

Great spot. Campsite 5 is great except the smell of the toilets. I would pick a site away from them next time. Place was booked out so that’s what we got. Beach view is lovely.
