Nanga Mill is the largest campground in Lane Poole Reserve with space for 55 large tents, large campervans, camper trailers or caravans. As an open campground with no separate individual camp sites it is ideal for groups camping together: campers may set up camp anywhere between the pines with consideration to other campers and to the environment. Pets are OK on a leash.

SITE ACCESS
Via Nanga gate, Nanga Road (GPS: -32.8043,116.0954) 13km from Dwellingup via Pinjarra-Williams Road and Nanga Road. Alternative access via Lane Poole Reserve Entry Station, Nanga Road (GPS: -32.7616, 116.0764) Access to the campground from Lane Poole Reserve Entry Station is via Bob’s Crossing, a ford on the Murray River. Bob’s Crossing is closed when the river level is high and IS NOT SUITABLE FOR CARAVANS AND TRAILERS AT ANY TIME.

Please note: GPS Co-Ordinates are approximate and provided in most cases to get you to the entrance. Once inside the park there should be signs to the actual camp grounds. Failing this please check with National Parks for further directions.

FEES & BOOKINGS
Per night: $8 adult (16 years or older), $6 concession, $3 child (6-15 years), no fee for children 5 years and under.
Bookings cannot be made.
The campground is very popular during school holidays and weekends from October to April, particularly public holiday weekends. Be prepared with an alternative place to stay at these times in case there is no suitable site available.
Arriving and departing Lane Poole entry station is staffed 8.30am to 4pm Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays only. Campers may set up camp from 12pm (noon) on the day of arrival and must clear the site by 10am on the day of departure. Rangers regularly patrol the campground and reserve.
We cannot give any guarantee of availability of camp sites and we cannot respond to enquiries for specific availability information.

This Park, like many National Parks in Western Australia require park access fees. For full details on both camping fees and park or annual passes refer to https://parks.dpaw.wa.gov.au/park-stay

THINGS TO DO
Nanga Brook, which flows through the campground, is suitable for swimming. The Murray River, which is accessible at a number of places in Lane Poole Reserve, offers many opportunities for swimming, fishing, canoeing and kayaking. The 3.8km Chuditch walk trail and the long-distance Munda Biddi and Waterous off-road cycle trails are easily accessible from the campground and the long-distance Bibbulmun Track for walkers is just one of the many other trails that pass thorugh Lane Poole Reserve.

GUIDELINES
Campfires are usually permitted, in the provided fire rings only, between April 15 and November 30 but fire restrictions may be imposed at any time and without notice. Bring your own firewood. When fire restrictions are in place campfires must not be lit and any appliance powered by burning solid fuel must not be used.
Campers’ own liquid or gas fuel barbeques, stoves and heaters can be used at any time, unless a total fire ban has been declared (see Department of Fire and Emergency Services).
Campers’ are encouraged to follow the simple principles of Leave No Trace to minimise the environmental impact of their visit.
Very few campgrounds have waste bins – take all waste with you when you leave.
