There are a total of 40 sites at this location. The location is suitable for Caravans, Camper Trailers, Camping beside my vehicle, and Tents. If you like getting out onto the water for a spot of fishing, canoeing, kayaking, swimming or boating, then Violet Hill campground is a great spot to base yourself.

The campground sits between Boolambayte Lake and Myall Lake, near Buladelah. It’s equipped with a boat ramp, a wharf and temporary boat moorings so you’ll be able to head out onto Boolambayte Lake in a kayak or canoe, and nearby Myall Lake is a good spot for fishing.

SITE ACCESS
Unsealed road/trail – 2WD vehicles – All weather.
Violet Hill campground is in the Boolambayte precinct of Myall Lakes National Park. From Bulahdelah take The Lakes Way from the Pacific Highway for about 7km. Turn right on to Violet Hill Road the campground is about 10km along the road.

Please note: GPS Co-Ordinates are approximate and provided in most cases to get you as close to the camp site as possible, or to the National Park entrance. Once inside the park there should be signs to the actual camp grounds. Failing this please check with National Parks for further directions.

FEES & BOOKINGS
Vehicle entry fee: $7 per vehicle per day. Or annual pass.
Camping fees: Peak (NSW school holidays, December, January and public holiday long weekends): $10 per adult per night. $5 per child per night. Off-peak: $7 per adult per night. $3.50 per child per night.
Bookings cannot be made for this campground, and will continue to operate on a first come, first served basis.

Some National Parks require Fees to Enter the Park. For full details see PASSES & FEES.

RULES
The campground operates on a first in first served basis – bookings are not available and There are no marked sites.
Water is not available at this campground so you’ll need to bring your own supply for drinking and cooking.
Boolambayte Lake is a sanctuary zone of Port Stephens-Great Lakes Marine Park – fishing is not permitted here.
Fishing is permitted in Myall Lake, however, you’ll need a current NSW recreational fishing licence.
