Crowdy Gap campground – Crowdy Bay National Park (CG)

There are a total of 10 sites at this location. The location is suitable for Caravans, Camper Trailers, Camping beside my vehicle, and Tents.

The only campground at the southern end of Crowdy Bay National Park, Crowdy Gap campground is located behind the sand dunes on the edge of Crowdy Bay on the site of an old dairy farm.

Set up camp among the banksias and pink-barked angophoras, inhale the fresh coastal breeze, and unpack your swimmers for a beachside camping holiday. It’s an easy walk through lush rainforest and sand dunes to Crowdy Beach. Spend your days diving into the clear blue waves, fishing, and walking the golden beaches.
A place of significance to the local Birpai Aboriginal people, shell middens are dotted through the dunes, indicating this was an area of plenty for fish, shellfish and wallabies.

SITE ACCESS
Unsealed road/trail – 2WD vehicles. There are three routes to Crowdy Gap campground:
via Harrington along Crowdy Head Road and Crowdy Bay Road.
via Moorland along Coralville Road and Crowdy Bay Road.
via Laurieton along Diamond Head Road Coralville Road and Crowdy Bay Road.

Please note: GPS Co-Ordinates are approximate and provided in most cases to get you as close to the camp site as possible, or to the National Park entrance. Once inside the park there should be signs to the actual camp grounds. Failing this please check with National Parks for further directions.

FEES & BOOKINGS
Camping $5 per adult per night. $3 per child per night. Please pay fees upon arrival at the self registration station. Fees paid at this camping area are not transferrable to other camp sites within the park. Other park use fee: Annual pass or daily vehicle entry fee of $7 also required.

Gas/electric barbecues, Picnic tables, Non-flush toilets.

RULES
Water is not available at this campground so you’ll need to bring you own supply.
Firewood is available for sale on site and shouldn’t be collected from the park.
