Karijini National Park is one of the largest and most spectacular parks in Australia, famous for stunning gorges, waterfalls, sparkling rock pools and cool swimming holes. Staying at the park is all about exploring serpentine tunnels of marbled and terraced rock, subterranean waterways and deep plunging chasms which have been eroded into the landscape over billions of years.

The Retreat is designed with the environment in mind. You will enjoy an outback bush camping experience and a “greener” style of accommodation, a blend of the creature comforts with the rugged trails of the gorge. The campsites are open with lots of trees and plenty of room for big rigs. The accommodation varies from a total of 64 unpowered campsites for caravans’ right through to Deluxe Eco Tents with Ensuite.

There are a full range of facilities at the site as listed in the facilities section below, including a small Kiosk for essentials. A highlight, is the outback style licensed alfresco restaurant which adds to the glamour of the uniquely Australian experience. Enjoy a meal while the sunset slowly merges with the stars over the red outback. It has an outdoor BBQ with bush foods, and they even provide lunch packs for hikers. You don’t need a 4WD when you are there and you can ab-sail, rock climb or swim in the rock pools. Learn about the bush tucker and the stories about how the land came to be with local guided aboriginal tours.
