The Tin Can Bay Tourist Park is located in the tranquil seaside village of Tin Can Bay on the beautiful Cooloola Coast offers excellent cabin and camping accommodation to suit all budgets. Tin Can Bay, best known for being a boating and fishing paradise is only two and a half hours drive north of Brisbane and just off the southern tip of Fraser Island.

Tin Can Bay Tourist Park is the ideal place to stay while you explore all the sights and attractions of the Fraser Coast and Cooloola Region. Perfectly situated just minutes away from the World Heritage Fraser Island, the Great Sandy Straits and the Cooloola National Park and within a short drive from Rainbow Beach and Hervey Bay.

The park is set in a relaxing atmosphere surrounded by bushland that hosts an abundance of bird life. There is plenty of shade and the large spacious sites cater for tents through to big rigs. Big rigs, however, are asked to check with management first to ensure you will fit in. The sites are powered, with grassed, concrete slab and en-suite sites available. it\’s only a short stroll to shops and to the waterfront where you can feed the rare Indo-Pacific humpback dolphins.

The well maintained facilities are excellent with a brand new camp kitchen, amenities, laundry and poolside BBQ hut. Added features include an onsite tour desk and a small kiosk offering ice, icecream and gas refills. All facilities are listed below. There is Bike Hire available so you can explore the area at your own pace and a childrens playground and skate park only 10 mins from the park. There are two dump points in town, one at either end and a new boat ramp and jetty.

ACCOMMODATION
Should you wish to have a break from the van and stretch out, or if you are looking to meet up with family or friends who might not have a caravan, the park has an extensive range of Deluxe Studio, Deluxe Two Bedroom and Deluxe Family Cabins. The large veranda\’s with tables and chairs, overlooks a grassed area where the children can play safely under your watchful eye.

Tin Can Bay is well facilitated with an IGA, a bakery, butchers, newsagents, pharmacy, mechanics, restaurants, cafes and more.

HOW TO GET THERE
The easiest way in is to follow the main Tin Can Bay Road in towards the Bay, Trevally Street then runs off to the right just after the Sandcastle Motel on the corner. Follow Trevally Street down approximately 650 metres, the entrance to the park is on your right.

SITE ACCESS
Access is direct off Trevally Street, sealed, wide and level. Pull over near the well signed reception and head in to let them know you arrived.

Bookings are not essential but are preferred, especially during peak seasons.

Barnacles Dolphin Centre
Where visitors can see, feed and interact with wild Australian Humpback dolphins.
Open 7.00am with viewing time between 7.00 – 8.00am. There is only one feeding session per day commencing at 8.00am.

There are many boat hire places and cruises in the area.

Tin Can Bay Boat Hire
