The Nyah Recreation Reserve is situated on the bank of the beautiful Murray River and provides excellent camping conditions, ranging from shaded covered areas to more open areas. The site provides a number of facilities including a dump point located through the main entrance, potable water with a hose connector – suitable for filling caravan tanks which is located 5 meters from the dump point. Toilets, fire pits, coverage for mobile phones and picnic tables are scattered through out the site, and caravan access and boat entrance is available from the entrance of the reserve.
Tent sites are accessible, and swimming is permitted along with fishing in the river. There are walking tracks around the site that provides viewing of wild life and birds and a lot of exploring can be done with fantastic photo opportunities available. The reserve has a maximum stay of 7 days policy, however free overnight camping is permitted. There are designated drinking spots around the site, yet some of the water available is unsuitable for drinking.
There is no charge for the use of this facility, so if you are staying at this site we encourage you to help keep it clean, and please visit and support the nearest town or village.
