Mazeppa National Park offers bush camping only. Find a suitable area in amongst the Brigalow and enjoy the natural surrounds. Remnant stands of Acacia species such as Brigalow and Gidgee occur in locations within the National Park. Birdlife and several reptile species may be seen when moving around the national Park particularly during times when water is available to wildlife. Preferred areas of interest may be along Mazeppa Creek to the Eastern end of the Park. Mazeppa Creek is seasonal. The camping area can be reached on foot (only). Vehicle access is not permitted on the park.
Number of sites: bush camping only. No defined sites. Maximum of 3 groups and 18 people in total (6 people per group).
Camp sites are suitable for: walk-in camping only.
Camp site surface: dirt/grass.
SITE ACCESS
Mazeppa National Park is 75km north-west of Clermont. Take the Peak Downs Highway out of Clermont, turn left onto Gregory Developmental Road and travel for 75km to Mazeppa National Park entrance. To help minimise the spread of parthenium the park is accessible to pedestrians only.
Please note: GPS Coordinates are approximate and provided in most cases to get you to the entrance. Once inside the park there should be signs to the actual camp grounds. Failing this please check with National Parks for further directions.
FEES & BOOKINGS
Camping permits are required and fees apply. A camping tag with your booking number must be displayed at your campsite.
Fees for camping permits are:
$5.75 per person per night or $23.00 per family group per night.
$3.20 per person per night for students and accompanying adults on approved excursions.
FAMILY RATE. For camping fees, a family group is defined as one or two adults and accompanying children under 18, up to a total of 8 people. Children under 5 years of age are free.

FACILITIES
There are no facilities on the camping site. Campers need to be fully self-sufficient.
RULES
Keep to defined vehicle tracks and walking trails.
Camp in designated areas to avoid damage to fragile vegetation.
Take rubbish home with you – if you carry it in, carry it out.
