Located in the heart of the Great Southern, just 3 hours south east of Perth, Katanning is a true multi-cultural community. The town has the largest undercover sheep sale yards in the southern hemisphere and the public are welcome to go and watch the sheepdogs at work on sale day. Our park is a mixture of powered and unpowered sites, as well as cabins and a cottage. We also have a brand new camp kitchen available to all our guests. Large trees provide shade in the hot weather and we have a lovely grassed area for tents or a cricket game.

THINGS TO DO
There is much to do in and around Katanning. Nearby we have the receation lake of 17ha, Lake Ewlyamartup. This is a perfect spot to enjoy some water sports such as water skiing or kayakking. If you enjoy birdwatching do not miss the opportunity to visit some of the bird watching hides on the lake and enjoy the 95 species of birds in the area. The lake also offers picnic facilities and toilets. Near Katanning you can also find another avid bird watching paradise, at the Police Pools Nature Reserve, with walking trails and an abundance of wild and bird life. Katanning also boasts an ALL AGES playground with swings, slider, roundabouts and more….. yes also for grown ups! For the train enthusiast we have the Katanning Miniature Railway with steam and diesel locomotives. There is also a tea room available on site.

Mannum Golf Club Camping (CG)

The historic town of Mannum is located beside the Murray River 85 km east of Adelaide and around 30 km north of Murray Bridge. Mannum Golf Club is situated about 500m from the river and offers a camping area for both golfers and non-golfers. Golfers can receive a discount on campsite fees with the club’s Stay and Play package. The campground has unpowered and a limited number of powered sites. It’s best to book ahead if you require power. Sites for RVs are on a hard, compacted surface, while there is a grassed area suitable for tents. There are toilets and water available but no showers, so you need to be fairly self-sufficient. If you’d like some shade, there are some gum trees to help keep the sun off at some sites. Those who like to socialise can gather at the communal fireplace where you can spend some time keeping warm and meeting other campers, however, you’ll need to provide your own wood. Getaways at Byfield (CG)

Nestled within the Byfield National Park, our private retreat is situated on 25 acres of subtropical rainforest. There is a large lawned area with shady Mango Trees to camp under or out in the sun if you are fully self contained and needing sun for your solar. Powered and unpowered sites available and are located on the lawns and have access to the pool and spa area. We are also pet friendly. The accommodation style is relaxed and family friendly, one that offers you, your own space and privacy to enjoy a relaxed and peaceful getaway. Maleny Showground (CG)

Situated a short walk from the centre of Maleny, the Showgrounds offer travellers an attractive camping site on the banks of the Obi Obi creek. The camp sites vary in size but will accommodate all size RV’s right up to Big Rigs. The sites are all powered, some in shade and others in full sun. All sites are on level areas. There is a limit of 3 Nights only and Pets are welcome. The grounds are also used for various sporting activities, including Tennis Courts and Gymnasium on site. SITE ACCESS Enter Maleny heading north, at the roundabout turn left into Coral Street, follow for about 1 km to the show grounds on the left. Access is clearly marked on the gateway at the entrance. This Campground is one of the Wee Jasper Reserves: “Swinging Bridge Reserve fees can be paid at Billy Grace Reserve. There are no showers at Swinging Bridge Reserve, however it has flushing toilet’s, drop toilets and potable drinking water. This reserve is situated on one of the deepest parts of the Goodradigbee River, it is perfect for swimming, kayaking and fishing. With potable drinking water, and flat campsites alongside the banks of the river is the perfect little escape to hide amongst the changing leaves of autumn, or the cooling shade in summer. Patrons are permitted to use the facilities of the pub in return for passing on your custom. Some sites also have power and there is water available and a washing machine. Two Jays Caravan and Camping (CG)

Two Jays Caravan and Camping is located at Bynoe in the Northern Territory and is situated on a 280 acre property that has the Finniss River as its rear boundary. The campground is newly established, having only opened in April 2019, and owners John and Julie are continuing to develop facilities. The property has 24 powered campsites and there is also plenty of open space suitable for those who don’t need power. Everything from tents through to large motorhomes is catered for. The land that the sites are on is elevated, which is handy if you’re there in the wet season. Sites are level and there is some shade available. You are welcome to stay as long as you like, even long-term. Dogs are welcome as well but must be kept on a leash. For those in a group, or large families, there is also a 4-bedroom homestead available to stay in that sleeps up to eight people.
