“In view of the current health crisis, FRC cannot guarantee the open status of any campground or caravan park in our listings as several have already announced closures, we suggest you contact the location, where possible to verify their status. At the bottom of each listing (when provided) will have email, phone or contact details.”
This help out opportunity is organised via Outback Links. It is a great opportunity to Help Out someone in the Keera area. In return, you will be provided with a place to park your RV at no cost. In some cases, but not all, facilities including power and water may be available. This will be confirmed upon application.
Activities: This single farmer, with her son and family nearby, is in need of your support with house maintenance. And the list is long as she has had to go off the farm to earn an income. Jobs include some carpentry work to replace some termite damage, finish some fencing, and install some water troughs. There is painting and cleaning up after the constant dust storms as well as gardening and helping create a small area in this horrid landscape that is a space for her to embrace some quiet time. The garden beds need weeding and cutting back, boundaries reinstated and repaired, trees pruned.
Your support at this time would make a massive difference to her outlook on a very current, desolate and dry landscape.
When: Anytime from now
Duration: 2-3 weeks
Accommodation: BYO or could be provided
IMPORTANT NOTE – before volunteering all volunteers need to be registered with Outback Links and have an up to date Working with Children Check and National Police Check. To volunteer, please apply here and contact Outback Links ASAP to arrange the checks, as they can take some time to process.
