Tungamah is a rural town north-east of Melbourne. Visitors with a caravan, campervan or motorhome will find easy access to the Boosey Creek & Lions Park Campground.

The campground is a quiet and peaceful location nestled among the olive groves. It has excellent creek frontage, grassed sites, some slab areas, and is suitable for any sized caravans. There are also a few shady areas you can park up. This park does not have powered sites. It is located next to tennis courts and a small playground and offers the necessary facilities as indicated below.

Whilst this is a free campground, the local pub does have an honesty box if you would like to put any money in for the campsite. The camp is dog-friendly, but dogs must be on a lead.

The Tungumah Hotel is a beautiful old pub and is heritage listed, built in 1891, replacing the earlier one on the same site which was destroyed by fire. It has a family-friendly atmosphere with excellent meals and live entertainment.

Tungamah Hotel is open 7 days a week with meals available from Wednesday through to Sunday both lunch and dinner. Tungamah Hotel has a Wednesday Steak night, Thursday Pot & Parma night, and on Friday they do Pizzas. Regular menu & take-away also available.

There is no petrol or diesel at the Service Station, but you can obtain diesel at the silos during business hours with a card.

Walking tracks are nearby and this is the perfect place to have a fish. It is also close to the general store.

I actually grew up in Tungamah so l may be a bit biased but my husband and l have stayed here twice in the past 8 months and have loved it. It is a beautiful spot to camp right next to the creek, very quiet and peaceful, wonderful townspeople and the service and the food at the hotel is fantastic. Big size meals and really good prices. Have a look around town and meet some of the locals. From here you can also go and have a look at the painted silos at Devenish and Goorambat which are only a short drive away. I can highly recommend Tungamah as a great place to camp.
