DESCRIPTION – The Bethungra Dam and Reserve is a lake side camping area near the settlement of Bethungra, right beside the water.
This is a spacious large camping area with a few level areas near the toilets; the area is suitable for big rigs.
SITE ACCESS – The reserve is 5km east of Bethungra on the Bethungra waterworks road.
To access the reserve Turn right 100m north of the Bethungra village, go under a
viaduct along Bethungra waterworks road and follow until arriving at the reserve,
The road is gravel and the viaduct is suitable for big rigs, when arriving it is recommended to stop and check out the area to find your campsite.
FACILITIES – The area offers long drop toilets, a sheltered picnic area, and rubbish bins.
THINGS TO DO – There are Fishing and walking or just sit and enjoy the water birds.
